There are different medium of disseminating information to the people, especially when it involves large number of people. These ranges from newspaper write ups, magazine, journals radios and the internet. All these are very good ways of bringing information to a large group of people.
However, the television is a very relevant means of spreading information. Its relevance in the spread of information cannot be overemphasized. It has proved to be a very effective way of taking information to the ends of the earth. The reason for this is not far fetched.
As news dissemination medium, TV programs have the nature of interpreting its messages to the public even without any verbal back-up. This makes it one of the efficacious ways of spreading information. Looking at the pictures in a television program, an audience can grasp to a very reasonable extent what the information is all about; even without hearing the audio side of it.
Another issue is that TV programs have the power to make their information more real than other means of information spread. One who listens to a radio drama is put under the power of imagination to visualize the scenes of the event. But a TV program will automatically put you through to what the information is all about.
The TV program has the bringing information to their audience without much distortion. One may not know how to read the words of a news paper, or understand the language of the broadcasters, but in a TV program even the ignorant can have something to grasp in the whole array of information that is being given out.
In conclusion, TV programs are of a very high relevance when it comes to the spread of information. They have the power to bring information to a very large number of people at a go.
